Obituary
Patricia "Patty" Ruth Martin (nee Sommerfeldt), age 61, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025 at The Kathy Hospice, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 4, 1964 in Fond du Lac, WI to David and Joyce (nee Feudner) Sommerfeldt. Patty graduated from St Marys Springs High School, married her love, Darryl Martin, and was the owner of a local small business. She enjoyed riding the open road on motorcycles, sun tanning /swimming in her pool, outdoor functions, interior decorating, keeping up with classmates from St Mary Springs, watching the Packers and trying her luck at the casino. Patty always dedicated herself to making sure everyone was taken care of! Patty was always the life of the party at any function/Holiday. From singing "partridge family" songs during Christmas events, wearing "troll" goggles during Halloween/ to making her famous poppyseed bread for all to enjoy at Thanksgiving. Patty especially loved spending time with her siblings, grandchildren and others.
Patty is survived by her husband, Darryl Martin; her dog Cooper; sons, Chris (Cloe) Tousey, Corey (Theresa) Tousey; step-son, Ryan Martin; step-daughter, Brooke (Linden) Young; grandchildren, Coraline, Carmine, Cecilia, Cebastian, Liberty and Emma Tousey, and Jace Young; her mother, Joyce Sommerfeldt; brothers and sisters, Denise (Dan) Hietpas, Mark (Julie) Sommerfeldt, Sue (Al) Hoffmann, Steve (Julei) Sommerfeldt, Judy Sommerfeldt (Robert Hall) and Cathy (Alex) Hermann. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Patty is preceded in death by her father David Sommerfeldt and stillborn son, Jamie Tousey.
A Celebration of Patty's Life will be held on May 4th, 2025 from 1:30pm until 7:00pm at the Eagles Club (515 N Park Ave) in Fond du Lac, WI.
A special thank you to everyone who prayed for and helped Patty during her journey including our neighbor Kay and to the staff of Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin.
