Patricia A. Klumb (nee Thomas), age 75, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at her home in Fond du Lac surrounded by her family. She was born on July 25, 1950 in Port Washington to Lawrence and Lucille (nee Wollner) Thomas. Patrica graduated from West Bend High School in 1968 and went on to meet the love of her life Richard Klumb in October of 1969 at Steve & Mary’s Bar in Kewaskum now known as Foundry 45. During their courting years Patricia and Richard enjoyed seeing the Wisconsin countryside motorcycling and were a part of the Ozaukee Guzzlers Motorcycle Club. On June 23, 1973 Patrica and Richard were married at St. Augustine Church in Newberg.
Patrica and Richard went on to have 3 daughters, Deanna, Kristina (Kristie) and Ashton; Patricia was a stay-at-home mom until the girls were all in school and then waitressed for about 25 years. Her favorite roll in life was being Grandma aka “Squishy” to her 7 grandchildren. Grandma always had an endless supply of chocolate for the kids and was always present for school events including choir concerts, sporting events and dance recitals.
Patricia had a passion for flower beds, particularly her roses, decorating her home especially at Christmas time, sewing, and baking (cake decorating). Patricia took on her mother’s tradition of Doughnut Day, every summer with the grandkids dozens of doughnuts would be made. She never missed an episode of General Hospital. At every bonfire, it was guaranteed she would have a pitchfork of wieners ready to smoke on the edge of the fire.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard “Rich” Klumb; daughters, Kristina Lewitzke (Kevin), and Ashton Monfils (Scott); grandchildren, Victoira, Maxwell, Jasmine, Lillian, Anastasia, Alexander and David; siblings, Gerald Thomas (Sandi), Edward Thomas, Marlene Thomas, Robert Thomas, and James Thomas (Tammy).
