Odin "Buddy" B. Pederson, age 85 years of West Bend, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 at Froedtert Health St. Joseph's Hospital of West Bend.

Buddy was born on March 13, 1928 in Eau Claire to Odin and Ella (nee Hogue) Pederson. He married Lois (nee McGee) on October 1, 1955 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Buddy served in the US Army 45th Infantry Division during the Korean Conflict. He earned the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Metal, Army Occupation Metal, National Defense Service Metal, Korean Service Metal, Combat Infantryman, United Nations Service Metal. He then worked for Chrysler Corporation in Hartford, where he retired. Life member of VFW Flag Day Post 7037 in Waubeka and Post Quartermaster for 12 years, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 58 in West Bend. Also a member of Korean War Veterans, CPL Richard Bell Chapter #111 of West Bend.

Buddy is survived by his wife Lois, daughter Jeanne (Jerry) Lorenz of West Bend. Further survived by his grandchildren Erin Lorenz, Melissa Lorenz, Dustin Lorenz Josie Lorenz, mother-in-law Esther McGee of West Bend, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Anton and Andrew, sisters Margaret Nelson, Ellen Atchison, Alice Ulberg and Lorraine Ulberg.

A Funeral Service will be at 5:00 pm on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend with Rev. Marcia Carrier presiding. Interment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 10:30 am. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, October 10 from 3:00 pm until time of service (5:00 pm). Memorials are appreciated.
