Norma West's Obituary
Norma Jean West (nee Bromhead) passed peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the age of 100 and a half. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of the late James and Johanna (nee Winter) Bromhead. Norma married William Burke West on July 10, 1943, and started their family. She loved being a mother and homemaker, family was very important to her. Norma enjoyed crocheting, baking, and worked for the Milwaukee Brewers throughout the 1980s.
Norma is survived by her children Catherine (the late Arthur) Biersack, Gerianne (the late Lenny) Laforgia, Timothy (Sandra) West, the late Christine Polski, the late Kelly West, Cynthia Gesme, and Maureen "Moe" West. Grandchildren Kevin Biersack, Theresa Hermann, Paul Biersack, Mary Reiter, Brian Biersack, Robert Grell, Michelle Carroll, Elizabeth Carow, Kyle West, Joel Frieburg, Jennifer Overstreet, Jason West, Tracy Kienzle, Michael Gesme, Nicole Park, the late Steven Gesme, and the late Dylan Gesme. Great-grandchildren the late Samantha, Nicholas, Jacob, Torrie, Holly, Nathan, Ricky, Tyler, Brooke, Max, Carmen, Austyn, and Declan. She is further survived by daughters-in-law Jackie and Linda West, many other family members and friends. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, two children, two grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
A visitation for Norma will be held on Friday, January 10, 2024, from 9:30AM until 10:45AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 1025 S. 7 th Ave., West Bend. Father Kevin Harmon will be presiding. Private burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society in Norma's name would be appreciated.
Her family would like to thank all the staff at Serenity Villa for the care and compassion they gave to Norma these past years.
