Neal William Schleif, age 95, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at New Perspective Betty's Harbor in West Bend. He was born on March 8, 1929, in Auburn, WI, to Walter and Erna (nee Rusch) Schleif.
Neal always lived life to the fullest, with gusto and enthusiasm. He excelled on the high school football team where he met the love of his life, Evelyn (Tooty) Kudek. They married young and were blessed with five amazing children.
Neal proudly owned and operated Schleif Sinclair Service Station with his brother Phil. He changed careers at the age of 48. Neal attended MPTC in Milwaukee and earned an associate degree as a dental lab technician. He worked in a private dental before joining the faculty as the lead lab technician in the fixed prosthetic department at Marquette University School of Dentistry. Neal retired from Marquette Dental School in 1996.
Neal enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, playing poker, and drinking beer. He loved cars, the Green Bay Packers, and his family. Neal was always the life of any party, the noisiest voice in every room and at the center of all the action!
Neal is forever loved and cherished by his wife of almost 76 years, Evelyn; his five children: Richard, Dr. Kathleen Roth (Dr. Daniel), Jane Coyle (Greg), Michael, and Jerry. He is the proud grandfather of Sara Isom (Jeffrey), Andrew Roth (Julie), Matthew Coyle (Jennifer), Jean Schleif, Cole and Drue Schleif.
