April 30, 2026- West Bend, Nancy Venus, age 89, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Kathy Hospice of West Bend, surrounded by her family.

Nancy was born on March 1, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI to Lawrence and Jean (nee Skindz) Nielsen. Nancy graduated from Custer High School. Nancy was a devout Catholic. Nancy married the love of her life, George Venus on September 21, 1958. Together they celebrated 61 years of married life. Nancy held several occupations, including dance instructor, and baker. She enjoyed dancing, snowmobiling, boating, and making memories at the cottage "Up North" with her family. Nancy's most loved roles involved being a Wife, Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma! All in All, raising a family offered its own rewards and challenges. Nancy never gave up on her children. She always believed in the best of them. Nancy was very devoted to her family. She loved all her children very much.

Nancy is survived by her children, Larry (Jackie), Tom (Mary), Jeff (Kelly), Rick (Diana), Jackie (Calvin) Mages, daughter-in-law, Linda Venus; grandchildren, Sarah (Irv) Hoff, Anthony Venus, Tracy (Ryan) Halter, Danielle Venus, Tiffany (Andrew) Gullickson, Troy (Brittany) Venus, Jessica Venus, Tim (Emily) Venus, Alex Mages, Cole (Kate) Venus, Noah Mages and many great-grandchildren.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, her parents-in-law, her husband George, and her son, Michael.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Nancy on Friday, May 15,2026 at 11:45 A.M. at Holy Angels Catholic Church (138 N. 8th Ave, West Bend, WI 53095). Visitation will be from 10:30-11:30 A.M. A luncheon will follow the mass. Burial will be at 2:30 P.M. at Holy Angels Cemetery.
