Nancy J. Shafer (nee Wagner), 62, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015. She was born on May 17, 1953 in West Bend to the late Bernard and Margaret (nee Kircher) Wagner and was raised in Barton. She graduated from West Bend High School and married James Jr. on April 19, 1974. Nancy enjoyed nature, dogs, drawing, taking photos, and had a great sense of humor. She loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her cherished grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband James Jr.; children: Sarah, James III and Daniel (Ashley); grandchildren: Samantha, Nevaeh and Nixon; siblings: Kenney Wagner, Diane (Mike) Emmert, Jerry (Lucy) Wagner, Jane Wagner, David (Laura) Wagner, Amy (Ken) Tacke and Bernie (Dawn) Wagner; sister-in-law Jane Gardner; brother-in-law Matt (Sandy) Shafer; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

The Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 5:00 PM at St. Peter Catholic Church (200 E Washington St., Slinger, WI 53086) with Fr. Richard Stoffel presiding. The Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, August 28th from 2:00 PM until 4:45 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Washington County Humane Society (3650 State Rd 60, Slinger, WI 53086).
