Obituary
Michael Pietrangelo, age 87, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at the Froedtert hospital in West Bend. He was born on June 15, 1937 in Waukesha, WI to Mickele and Filomena (nee D'Alessio) Pietrangelo.
Michael Pietrangelo (husband, father, Papa, and great Papa) married the love of his life, Marian Sciortino, on June 20, 1959. They had 3 beautiful children together. He had a long career as a truck driver for 32 years at CW Purpero. Throughout his life he enjoyed helping others with his gifted talent; he was an amazing carpenter. Whether it was a cross, a shed, a hangar, a swing set, a deck, a trailer or a weaving loom…he could do it all. Mike loved spending time with family; laughing, playing cards, enjoying a good meal together or even an occasional water balloon fight. He enjoyed going to McDonalds daily spending time with his friends and doing his cross-word scratch-offs. He will be remembered most for being a loving and caring father and most devoted husband to the love of his life for 65 years.
Michael is forever missed by his wife, Marian (nee Sciortino); his children, Michael (Tina), Wendy (Peter), Joseph (April), his 9 grandchildren, his 6 great grandchildren and his only sister Rose Roeske. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Mickele and Filomena Pietrangelo and in-laws Mariano and Jenny Francis Sciortino
A Funeral Service will be at 3:00pm on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at West Bend Community Church (2005 S. Main St. West Bend, WI 53095) with Reverend Adam Baker presiding. Visitation will be at church on Thursday, July 25 th from 1:00pm until 2:45pm. Private family entombment at Washington County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or Community Church West Bend.
