Maureen Inez Bablitch, age 70 of West Bend, formerly of Slinger, died on 7/10/13. She was born in Stevens Point, WI on 8/14/1942, to John A. & Inez (Manning) Bablitch who preceded her in death. She is survived by her brothers Douglas (Polly) of Pembine, WI, Stephen (Mary Skalecki) of Hales Corners, WI , John (JoAnn) of Minneapolis, MN, nieces, nephews and cousins. Maureen was employed for many years at the West Bend News. In spite of losing her hearing at age one, due to meningitis, she lived with great spirit and independence in a hearing world. She was a talented artist and generous family member. The family is grateful for the support Maureen received from various staff at Washington County Human Services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Slinger, WI with Fr. Richard Stoffel officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow the service in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to The Threshold Inc.
