Mientke, Mathilda A. (nee Czech) "Mattie," age 93 years, passed away Fri., July 1, 2016 at Serenity Villa in Slinger. Mathilda was born in the Town of Reid on January 14, 1923 to the late Walter and Julia (nee Wanta) Czech. Mattie married Raymond Mientke and he passed away December 9, 1992. She was fun loving and enjoyed life with family and friends. You always had a good time with Mattie playing cards, bingo, casino trips, Brewers baseball games, "splitting beers with Fuzzy", listening to polka music on WTKM, baking and cooking – you always had to eat!

Mattie is survived by her children Barbara Schaal, Dennis (Susan) and Jodi Roehsner. She is further survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, siblings Sally Sonntag, Jim (Rosemary) Czech, Sylvia Burant, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband Ray, daughter Florence "Fuzzy", 4 brothers, 3 sisters, sons-in-law Tom Schaal and Jack Schuette.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at St. Boniface Catholic Church (W204 N11940 Goldendale Rd., Germantown) with Father Richard Stoffel presiding. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Mequon. Visitation will be at the CHURCH ONLY on Wednesday, July 13 from 9:00 am until time of Mass (11:00 am). A Special Thank You to the staff at Serenity Villa and Horizon Hospice.
