MaryEllen Marie Hawes, age 60 years, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday April 21, 2019 at her residence. She was born on September 11, 1958 in Hartford to Alphonse and Daphne (nee Getter) Janzer. She was raised in Richfield and graduated from Hartford Union High School Class of 1977. On October 9, 1983, MaryEllen married Phil Hawes and began her family.

MaryEllen loved hot air balloons, crocheting, softball, bowling, but she especially loved to spend time with her grandson and family. She was employed at Rytec Corp.

MaryEllen is survived by her son Tom (Ana Valenzuela) and daughter Chelcie (fiancé Mike Krueger) Hawes, special friend George Malsack, grandson Noah Lombard, her bothers Ralph (LaVerne) Janzer, Howard (Irene) Janzer, sister, Ginny Livingston, brothers David (Marilyn) Janzer, Bob (Marijean) Janzer and Diane (Dean) Gothard, sister-in-law Pam (Steve) Berg, mother-in-law Audrey (Dave) Reinke, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Phil, brother-in-law Roland Livingston and niece Crystal Janzer.

A funeral service for MaryEllen will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday April 28th at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Dr.). Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday April 28th from 3:00 pm until time of service at 6:00 pm.
