Mary C. Scarbrough (nee Gore) passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the age of 89 years.

Mary was born on February 13, 1925 in Chicago to Theodore and Bertha Gore. She devoted many years as a secretary at Continental Can and later as a housewife. She married George M. Scarbrough on July 23, 1960.

Mary loved her family and loved her life. She will be dearly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Mary is survived by her daughter Renee (Jeff) Smale; grandchildren Jacquelyn and Michael; step-children Jim (Elaine), Ross (Vida), and Antoinette (Gary) Renz; and other nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her husband George M., son George L., parents Theodore and Bertha, siblings Ted (Peg) Gore and Lorraine (Jack) Carlisle, and step-daughter Carol Campbell.

A Graveside Memorial Service is planned for 2:00 PM on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Washington County Memorial Park with Chaplain Cheryl Matusiak presiding. Friends and family may gather right at the cemetery for services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Samaritan Health Center, 531 E. Washington St. in West Bend, 53095.
