Mary R. Keener, age 61, After a courageous battle with cancer, Mary R. Keener (nee Walter) of Slinger, age 61, fell asleep in the Lord's loving care on Sunday, June 29, 2014. Mary is survived by her husband Richard "Dick", sons Jason and Michael (Sandy), step sons Jeff (Mary) and Todd (Tracy), and grandchildren Bryce (fiancée Bridget), Rashelle (Zach) Christopherson, Brittany, Lexi and Kendall. She is further survived by siblings Rosalie (Robert) Buch, John (Sherry) Walter, Elaine (Peter) Strupp, and Mark (Karen) Walter, and other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Ella Walter and her sister-in-law Judith Walter.

Mary will be greatly missed and remembered especially for her years of loving dedication to her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at 6pm at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 202 E. Washington St., Slinger, with Fr. Rick Stoffel presiding. Visitation will be held at the church Wednesday from 4pm until the time of the Mass. A private burial will be held at New St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials of your choice are preferred.
