Obituary

Mary Kathryn Jacklin (nee Powell), age 79, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Serenity Villa in Slinger. She was born on November 22, 1943 in Texas to Walter and Geraldine (nee McDermott) Powell. Mary enjoyed reading, watching birds at her feeders and spending time with her five grandsons.

Mary is survived by her two sons, William Jacklin and Brian (Sara) Jacklin; grandchildren, Marshall, Andrew, Chase, Casey and Mitchell. She is further survived by her brothers, Donnie (Cheryl) Powell, Richard Powell, Walter (Sandy)

Powell, Gerald (Judy) Powell, Francis Powell and other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, William Jacklin, her parents, daughter-in-law Brenda (nee Hunt) Jacklin, brother Ronnie Powell, brother-in-law Robert Jacklin, and infant nephew Gerald Powell Jr.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 6:00 PM on Monday, November 20, 2023 at St. Peter Catholic Church (200 E Washington St. Slinger, WI 53086) with Fr. Richard Stoffel presiding. Visitation will be prior at church on Monday, November 20 th from 4:00 PM until 5:45 PM. Private Family interment at New St. Peter Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Peter's Catholic Church of Slinger.

Thank you to the many nurses, doctors and staff that have helped along her journey. Special thanks to the staff at Serenity Villa for their care of Mary over the last several weeks.
