Mary Beth Ann Tomaszewski (née Balat) passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on May 26th, 1951, in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, she was the beloved daughter of Michael and Cecilia Balat (née Dyer).
Mary Beth grew up on a small farm in Kennan, where she developed a strong work ethic and a love for her community. Mary Beth was active in 4-H. She attended Prentice High School, where her talent shone brightly as she sang in the choir and won a state championship.
In her personal life, Mary Beth was a devoted wife of 56 years to Joseph and a loving mother to three children Michelle, Sheri, and John (Mandy). She was also a cherished grandmother to eight grandchildren and a great-grandmother to one. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Mary Beth was committed to serving her community. She volunteered at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception in West Bend, as well as teaching catechism, she was a Girl Scout leader, and was an active member of the Lions and Lioness Clubs, where she made a lasting impact through her dedication and kindness.
Professionally, Mary Beth worked at several places in West Bend, including the Gehl Company M&I Bank, and Ozark Insurance.
Mary Beth will be remembered for her smile and positive nature towards everyone, her generous spirit, and her love for her family and community. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and service that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
