Obituary

Marvin Martin Stoffel, 92, of West Bend, WI passed away on July 1,2026. Marvin was born on his family homestead on November 26,1933 to the late Barney and Josephine Stoffel. He called the family farm home his entire life, where he worked with dedication and pride. On June 1,1957 he married Rochelle (Nee: Groth) at St. Lawrence Church. They shared 69 beautiful years of marriage.

Marvin was known for his outstanding laugh. He enjoyed playing Sheepshead, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and visiting Lake Tomahawk. The highlight of his days was to partake in any meal Rochelle made, he loved and appreciated her cooking. One of his daily routines was to ride around the farm on his 4-wheeler, admiring and checking on the crops he harvested. Later in life, he became a master puzzle builder. He found joy in helping others and especially enjoyed mowing lawns for family. It was one of the many ways he showed his kindness and generosity.

He was a lifetime member at St. Lawrence Church and was also a charter member of the Allenton’s Lions Club.
Marvin will be deeply missed by his wife Rochelle, children; Gary ( Melissa) Stoffel, Scott (Sue) Stoffel, Colleen Stoffel, and Curt (Amy) Stoffel, grandchildren; Aaron (Darcie) Kohler, Chad (Marie) Kohler, Elizabeth (Ryan) Kohler, Dineen, Ben (Kelsey) Stoffel, Monica (Travis) Kearns, Blake (Erica) Stoffel), Ashley Stoffel, Rebecca (Mike) Casanova, Mac Stoffel, and his grand-pup Reggie. He will also be missed by his great-grandchildren; Paige, Joseph, James, Alice, Kase, Owen, Leni, Kylie, Madi, Kenzie, Watson, Archie, Baker, Kyla, Emmerson, Beau, Rhett and Lane, as well as nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Barney and Josephine, grandson Jeff Stoffel, brother Ronald Stoffel and one brother-in-law Harold Groth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Marvin on Monday, July 13,2026 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Lawrence Church (4886 Highway 175 Hartford, WI 53027). Visitation will be at the church from 11:00-12:45 P.M. Burial to follow.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Horizon Hospice and all the caregivers for taking care of Marvin. Also, Father Rick Stoffel for being there for the family.
