Marles J. Biskobing (nee Hamann) passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the age of 68, after a strong fight with non-alcoholic liver disease.
She was born in Port Washington, WI, the daughter of the late Lester and Marguerite (nee Voeltner) Hamann. Marles grew up in Cedarburg and graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1974. In 1971, Marles met the love of her life, Jeffrey "Jeff" R. Biskobing, at the stock car races. Despite being forbidden to see each other (after Jeff did a burnout in front of her parent's driveway), the two dated, Marles got her own '57 Chevy (thanks to Jeff), and they married on November 23, 1974. Marles enjoyed camping in Necedah at "Da Lot" and later at her and Jeff's seasonal site at Wilderness Campground in Montello, WI. Marles was an active member of the West Bend Moose Lodge 1398 and was a past Senior Regent.
Above all else, Marles loved spending time with her family. She laughed infectiously and loved fiercely. Marles is survived by her husband of over 49 years, Jeff; children Scott (Sarah) and Andrew (Kim) Biskobing; grandchildren Emily and Spencer Biskobing; siblings Jim Schneider and Janice Judson; and brothers- and sisters-in-law Jack (Max), Mike (Mary), the late Dave (Nancy and fiance Jack), and Rob (Beth) Biskobing. She is further survived by other relatives and many friends, especially Ken and Michele Knop. Marles was preceded in death by her parents and her parents-in-law, Robert and Germaine Biskobing.
A visitation for Marles will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m., with a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m., at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for a charity of their choice would be appreciated.
A special thank you to Horizon Home Care and Hospice for the compassionate help they provided to Marles and her family.
