Marlene Theresa Alvarez (nee Placek), age 78, went to her eternal home on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at The Kathy Hospice in West Bend. She was born on September 1, 1938 in MN to Frederick and Theresa (nee Kennedy) Placek. Marlene loved to crochet and collectables. She was a world traveler until she found herself back in Milwaukee in 1969. She then returned to her hometown of West Bend in 1983. Marlene loved everybody and if in her power, she was always there to help.
Marlene is survived by her children Theresa Fellenz-Grimes, Donald (Clarisa) Fellenz, Paul Alvarez; grandchildren Morgan Grimes, Cameron Grimes, David Alvarez; one great-granddaughter Luella Woodworth; brothers Fred (Dee Dee) Placek, Charles Placek. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Marlene is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Ed Placek.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
