Marjory Ann Moder (Snyder) 1930-2023
Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother, Aunt & Friend. We will remember her for her baking, cooking, dancing in the kitchen, board games, daily crossword puzzles, generous heart, and boisterous laugh.
Marjory Ann Moder, 93 of Jackson, Wisconsin, died surrounded by her loving family on Dec. 1, 2023.
She is preceded in death by her parents William & Margaret Snyder, beloved brother Billy Snyder, niece Pamela Snyder and her dear husband Earl Moder.
She was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on Oct. 22, 1930, to William & Margaret Snyder who were very caring and loving people. They were always willing to open their home to any family, friend, or stranger.
Marjory met the love of her life, Earl E. Moder, in 1948 at a Holiday party. They were excited to start their new life together and were married June 11, 1949.
Marjory & Earl couldn't wait to start a family of their own. They were blessed with four beautiful children Earl (Tagneen), Debra (Bruce) Rolston, Gerald (Susan), and Barry (Sandra) who meant the world to them.
Marjory's favorite role was that of a Grandparent. She treasured her time with her grandkids & loved being their grandma. Kyle, Katie (Earl), Jennifer, Chad, Stacia & Tony (Debra), Jenny, Jamie, Bradley, & Jacob (Gerald), Ingrid, Austin, Josiah, Samuel, Hannah, Erika, Annalise & Olivia (Barry).
She was not only blessed with 16 grandchildren but also 22 great grandchildren. Solomon, Wilhelmina, Lovissa (Katie) Atlanta, Hailee, Krista, Kelsie, Brooklyn (Jennifer), Vayda, Jersey, Paisley (Chad) Devon, Leah, Alli, Logan (Jenny), Charlotte (Jacob) Jack, Nora (Ingrid), Gracelynn (Josiah), Aric, Wesley, & Baby (Hannah). To add to her full arms, she has four great-great grandchildren. Leah, Chloe, Jaxon (Atlanta), Wren (Leah).
Marjory will always be remembered for her huge heart and the way their home was always open for visitors.
We'll always remember hearing her say, "I've been very blessed. I've had wonderful friends and a wonderful family; they've been very good to me. Nothing in this world is perfect. We're just imperfect people trying our best to be perfect, and you keep trying to be perfect so that you can be your best and do your best. And I know to a lot of people this may sound corny, but if you always keep God in your heart and in your home, he will take you through life and you will sail right through. And I hope that each and every one of my grandchildren and great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and whoever else is to come, will always be kind and consider the other person. It's important, if you do that, it'll all come back to you through other people."
We couldn't ask for a better parent, grandparent, aunt and friend. We will miss her dearly. Her memory will live on in the hearts of many.
The family would like to thank Cedar Lake Community hospice for their warm and loving care during Marge's final days. And to her family members who helped around the clock to make sure she was well taken care of and every need met- we appreciate the selfless love and time you gave taking care of her. We would also like to thank Dr. Herdrich and his staff, especially Jill for their compassion and care over the years. Marge was very grateful.
In lieu of flowers we ask you to donate to her favorite charities or a charity of your choice in her name.
