Marie A. O'Brien (nee Erickson), 77, of Eden, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013. Marie was born in Bark River, Michigan on April 24, 1936, to Pearl (nee Barbeau) and Stanley Erickson. Marie married Earl O'Brien May 5, 1971 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Marie loved gardening, her cherished daily gifts were her two dogs and spending time with her friends and family, she also enjoyed helping others. Her biggest love was her grandchildren. Marie always "Cheered the loudest for them".
Marie is survived by her children Jewel Medek, Bonnie (Jim) Anderson, Richard Curry, Debra (John) Meyer, Lisa (Robbie) Brooks, Kelly (Kevin) Flasch and Amanda (Marcus Meltzer) O'Brien; 28 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; her sister Patricia Erickson and two brothers Stanley and Tom Erickson. She is further survived by her in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl O'Brien, her son David O'Brien, sisters Lois Erickson, Jeanette Fogas and Karen Pansing.
A celebration of life for Marie will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, WI 53095). Marie's family will greet visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. Interment will take place at the Bark River Cemetery in Michigan.
