Marianne C. Loosen (nee Wilhelm), age 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Serenity Villa in Slinger. She was born on October 30, 1934 in Milwaukee, WI to Rueben and Margurite Wilhelm. Marianne was a Nurse and worked at St Joes hospital in West Bend Wi in the new born nursery for a time and years later finished her nursing career doing hospice care in Wauwatosa. Marianne enjoyed, spending time with family especially during the Christmas holiday season. She went all out for Christmas always trying to make it special. She loved country music, Merle Haggard and George Jones were definitely at the top of that list. She also enjoyed family vacations spent up north in Wisconsin specifically Tomahawk, Wi where for over 20 years cabins were rented at the Tomahawk Lodge & Resort on Somo lake. Over time the owners nicknamed it "hell week" (if you know you know) She raised her two sons alone (not an easy task) as her husband Ray passed in 1972. Spending time with her sons was most definitely her favorite thing to do.
Enjoying a cold beer or a Ketel One martini (or 3) with a good meal (or just because) was just another of so very many memories she has left with us all. Our hearts are forever changed and she will be greatly missed. Love You Mom!! A special thanks to all of the care givers at Serenity Villa for their compassionate care, love & support they showed mom for the past 5 years you're the best!
