Marianne Heppe (nee Cook) of Jackson passed away with dignity at home on Saturday April 6, 2013 at the age of 82 years. She was born on April 28, 1930 in Milwaukee to Dr. F. Emmett and Grace (nee Roberts) Cook. She attended Holy Angels Academy and later Carroll College. Marianne married Willard F. Heppe on February 19, 1949 at Mother of Good Council Catholic Church in Milwaukee and later raised their children on the family farm in Jackson.
Marianne was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Slinger and also the Christian Mother's Society. Marianne was a proud homemaker who expressed her love through sewing, gardening and flowers. She was a wonderful cook and baker and was known for her chocolate chip cookies. Marianne played the marimba and did so skillfully as she often performed during church services and events in her earlier years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was a big part of their lives as they matured into adults. Marianne was a very giving and unselfish person. She always thought of others before herself. She was known for her gently and sweet personality with an uplifting spirit.
Marianne is survived by her husband of 64 years Willard, her children; The Very Reverend Patrick Heppe, Rosanne (Dennis) Sang, Nora Mae (Robert) Westerman, grandchildren; Stefanie (Andrew) Holland and Rachel (Jason) Loomans, 1 great granddaughter Tessa Mae Loomans, her brother in law Maurice Heppe, and her dear cousin Rita (Jerry) Nauertz, other relatives and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon on Thursday April 11 at St. Peter Catholic Church (200 E. Washington St) Slinger. Visitation will be held Thursday at the church from 9:30 am until time of mass. Interment will be at St. Peter's New Cemetery.
