Maria Anna  (Mary) (Nee: Reiger) Sojak passed away peacefully at Serenity Villa in Slinger, WI on Saturday, November 8,2025. Maria (Mary) was born on October 20,1930, in Heimstetten, Germany, the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Nee: Lentz) Reiger.  On December 28,1951 in Germany Maria (Mary) united in marriage to Jospeh Sojak, before relocating to the United States to build a life and raise their family together. Joseph preceded her in death on March 18,2023. She loved to knit and make bracelets as well as playing bingo. She loved gardening so much that she oversaw the garden at Serenity Villa. Her family loved for her to make her Bread Dumplings and loved to call her for the recipe. She loved to watch to the Green Bay Packers Football Team.
Maria (Mary) will be deeply missed by her children, Joseph L. Sojak, Elizabeth “Betty” (Nee: Sojak) Bastian, Marianne Sojak, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her brother Otto (Andjelka) Heuwieser Jr., sister Anneliese Kӧniger as well as nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Maria (Mary) is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Maria, Her Husband Joseph, Stepfather Otto Heuwieser, brother-in-law Franz Kӧniger, Nephew, Franz Kӧniger Jr., and Parents -in-law Johann and Elisabeth Sojak.
A private Celebration of life will be held for Maria (Mary).
