Margaret "Peggy" A. Maffit (nee Arnold), passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Froedtert Hospital. She was born on March 29, 1928 in Milwaukee, WI to George and Elisabeth (nee Reums) Arnold. She was the wife of the late Wayne A. Wolfe and together they had 3 children. She later married Gilbert F. Maffit September (1995). She was most proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Our mom's loving guidance, comforting words will always be cherished, as we hold her in our hearts, forever. We will never forget our mom's gentle love.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Gilbert Maffit; children Judith Steinmetz, Debra (Gary) Ellingson, Michael (Kathy) Wolfe; 10 grandchildren Michael (Sarah) Steinmetz, David Steinmetz, Ashley Steinmetz, Tracy Ellingson, Kristi (Eric) Dorner, Kimberly Ellingson, Steven (Jean) Ellingson, Brian (Meagan) Wolfe, Jason (Jessica) Wolfe, Megan (fiancé Jordan Schade) Wolfe; 8 great-grandchildren Connor Johnson, Isabella Burrows, Conrad Eifert, Brandon Eifert, Mason Dorner, Kate Dorner, Aubrey Dorner, Brantley Wolfe; sisters Arlene Saltzmann and Esther Ritke. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Peggy is preceded in death by her first husband Wayne A. Wolfe, her parents, son-in-law John Steinmetz, infant great-grandson Brandon Johnson, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
A Celebration of Life for our mother will be from 10:30AM to 12:00PM on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Washington County Memorial Park.
