Margaret R. Loomans (nee Rose), age 91, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013. She was born in Stevens Point in 1921 to the late Peter and Martha (nee Pallasch) Rose. She was united in marriage to Robert Loomans on May 3, 1946 in Stevens Point. Margaret attended Business School in Milwaukee after graduating from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1939. She was employed by Sentry Insurance for several years before leaving to work in the Cost Accounting Department of International Harvester during the war years. It was there that she met her future husband, after he came to be employed there after serving in the war. Margaret loved being a wife, mother, and best friend to her husband and six children, feeling they were a blessing of her life.
She is survived by her children, Ellen (Bob) Brousil, Gretchen (Bill) Klug, Anne (Scott) Bemus, Susan (John Sokol) Loomans, Peter Loomans, and Paul Loomans; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Madelyn Rose. She is further survived by other relatives and good friends.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Eileen Weigert, Marie Rose, Betty Lintner, and Raymond Loomans.
A Prayer Vigil will take place on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 1:30 PM at Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend) with Fr. Enrique Hernandez presiding.
Margaret wishes no flowers, but memorials would be appreciated to the Kenya Mission of School Sisters of Notre Dame or St. Vincent DePaul Society.
