Obituary

Marcia Martha Rose Krenek (Gueldner) was taken home by her heavenly Father on November 30, 2023, at the age of 79. She passed away peacefully under the loving care of the 3rd floor staff at Froedtert Hospital in West Bend, WI, with her family at her side.

Marcia was born in Milwaukee, WI, on June 5, 1944, into the family of George and Ruth Gueldner and was baptized into God's family and later confirmed at Christ Church in Milwaukee. She married Eric Krenek on August 5, 1967, and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage together.

Marcia's main role in life was being a loving, Christian mother to her 6 children. As her children grew, she assumed various positions including bank manager, tax consultant, and other roles using the gifts God gave her. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She could frequently be found at volleyball games, soccer games, basketball games, baseball games, softball games, field trips, plays, concerts, and even forensics competitions. Her family members brought her great joy, and she spent as much time as she could with each one of them.

Over the years she enjoyed being involved in the ministry of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where she served in a wide variety of roles. Serving at church brought her joy.

Marcia's life could be summed up in three words: showing God's love. She spent her entire life loving and serving others. She participated in many community organizations, including the West Bend Children's Theater. She enjoyed wonderful friendships with people at church and in the community. Throughout the past few months, even when she was sick, she let her light shine and never wavered. Her love even had an impact at the hospital.

Marcia is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Eric; her children Holly (Tim) Wempner, Heidi Guse, Quinn (Kate) Krenek, Seth Krenek, and Adam (Kristin) Krenek; 18 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by loving sisters Carol Schram and Gretchen (Steve) Spaeth; and by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She will also be remembered and missed by loving nieces, nephews, many family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her son Todd Krenek; parents-in-law George and Ruth Krenek; two step-fathers-in-law; and two brothers-in-law, Dave Markowski and Ronald Schram.

Visitation will take place at Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend on Friday, December 8, 2023, from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. The funeral service will also take place at Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 12:30 p.m. followed by a luncheon.
