Obituary

Lynn Ruth Pasbrig (nee Gamm), age 80, was called home to her Savior's side on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at The Kathy Hospice, surrounded by family. Lynn was born on August 12, 1944, in Milwaukee, WI to Martin and Emily (nee Schafer) Gamm. She was welcomed into the Christian faith by baptism on September 10, 1944. She reaffirmed that faith at her confirmation on June 9, 1957. After graduating from Milwaukee Lutheran High School in 1962, she enrolled at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and was a member of the first nursing school class, graduating in 1967. On February 8, 1969, Lynn was united in marriage to Robert Pasbrig.

Motivated by her faith, Lynn's passion in life was serving others through nursing. As a Registered Nurse she served in the Labor and Delivery Unit at St. Mary's on the Lake and then taught one semester at UW-Eau Claire in pediatrics. When the children were older, Lynn served the Community Health Program of Will County, Illinois. For 18 years she was the Clinic Coordinator at the Albrecht Free Clinic in West Bend.

Lynn learned to sew at an early age and began quilting after the family moved back to Wisconsin in 1999. She blessed family members, friends, school music choirs, and non-profits with her intricate and beautiful handiwork. Her crafting skills were not limited to sewing as she also knitted and crocheted, recently completing several newborn caps to donate to local hospitals.

Lynn is survived by her husband of 56 years, Rev. Robert; their seven children, Cheryl (Rev. Daniel) Iwinski, Christiana (Rev. Edward) Frey, Timothy (Karoline) Pasbrig, Katherine (Ralph) Wilhelm, Nathan (Marisol) Pasbrig; Marcie (Tim Moore) Pasbrig; Jennine (TSgt George IV) Edwards; grandchildren Joshua, Joseph (fiancé Kelli), Jason and Jared Frey, Noah and Rose Pasbrig, Blake Wilhelm, and George V, Andrew, and Alexandria Edwards; sisters-in-law Gwen Pasbrig and Karen Peters, and brothers-in-law Ron Halverson and Marty Mueller.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Lynn is preceded in death by her parents Martin & Emily Gamm, parents-in-law Harvey and Evelyn Pasbrig, sisters Karen Gamm, Geri Halverson, and Gail Mueller, brother-in-law James Pasbrig, and special paternal aunts Lollie, Emma, and Lillie Gamm.
