Lyles E. Ojstrsek "Grandma OO" (nee Rosin), 89, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015. She was born on November 9, 1925 in Mayville to Henry and Sadie (nee Westphal) Rosin and moved to West Bend with her family in 1943. She was employed at West Bend Company from 1944-'45, Amity Leather from 1965-'69 and later at Broan Manufacturing from 1969-'90. In her retirement, Lyles was a very active volunteer including transporting homebound people to doctor's appointments, grocery shopping, etc. She was a member of Christian Women at Resurrection Parish in Allenton and Ladies Auxiliary Fohl-Martin American Legion Post 483 of Allenton.
Lyles is survived by her children: Jean Marie (Russell) Westphal, Judith (Dale) Ravanelli, Stanley Jr. (Betty), Francis (Barbara), Susan (Scott) Cole; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister Helen (Arnold) Gloede; daughter-in-law Jane; brother-in-law Auren Deming. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by husband Stanley Ojstrsek Sr.; sons Lawrence (Joyce) and Michael; grandson, Jacob Cole; siblings: Henry, Gordon, Donald, Elvira, Arlene Wagner, Adeline Hellpap and Jeanette Deming.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 12:00 PM at Resurrection Catholic Church (215 Main St, Allenton) with Fr. Richard Stoffel presiding. The visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th at the church from 9:00 AM until 11:45 AM. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
