Lorraine Krenn (nee Heder), 92, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at The Kathy Hospice. She was born on July 18, 1921 in the Town of Hartford to Lawrence and Malinda (nee Rauh) Heder. She attended Lakeview School, St. Lawrence Catholic School, St. Peter's Catholic School, and graduated from Slinger High School in 1939. She married Arthur Krenn in Stevens Point, WI on August 31, 1946.
Lorraine worked at Amity Leather after graduation. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post #3358 of Slinger for several years, served as President, and was presently serving as Vice President. She worked eighteen years combined as a school bus driver in both Slinger and West Bend (special needs children). She was a member of St. Peter's Church, Christian Mothers Organization, and an active member of Senior Friends of Hartford. Her favorite pastimes included cooking, baking, doing crossword puzzles, and playing Sheepshead.
Their marriage was blessed with three sons: Lawrence "Larry" (Kristine) of Marshall, WI, James (Gail) of LaFarge, WI, and Thomas (Julie) of West Bend, WI; very special daughter, Diane of West Bend; grandchildren: Chandra, Ryan (Amy) of Milwaukee, Sarah of Saukville, Amanda (Matt Kurgan) of CO, Jacob (Brittany Knutson) of LaValle, WI, Zachary of Colorado, Audra (Thomas Lindley) and Steven of West Bend; great-granddaughters, Brooklyn and Zoey Krenn; and great-grandson, Owen Lindley. She is further survived by her best friends, Sandy, Barb, and Maureen; other relatives and many dear friends. She loved her precious, longtime pet Sammy.
The Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 7:00 PM at St. Peter's Catholic Church (200 E Washington St, Slinger, WI 53086) with Fr. Richard Stoffel presiding. The visitation will be held at church on Monday, December 23rd from 5:00 PM until 6:45 PM. Inurnment will take place at (new) St. Peter's Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to The Kathy Hospice (St. Joseph's Community Foundation, 3200 Pleasant Valley Rd, West Bend, WI 53095).
