Lisa Carol Henke (née Weisser),
age 52, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024, with her devoted husband by her side. Born on November 27, 1971, in Yankton, South Dakota, she was the daughter of Harlan E. Weisser and Carol (née Oswald). Lisa grew up in West Bend, where she graduated from West Bend East High School and later attended Moraine Park Technical College. She went on to work as a Cardiac Technician.
On April 2, 2005, Lisa married Todd Henke, and in September 2007, they welcomed their daughter, Alyssa. Lisa was excited to be a new mom and Alyssa, her "mini-me," was her pride and joy. When Alyssa was just a toddler, Lisa was diagnosed with a rare neurological condition, Transverse Myelitis, which affected her mobility. Throughout her many health challenges, Todd was her devoted caregiver.
Before her illness, Lisa enjoyed many hobbies, especially hunting, with a memorable turkey hunt alongside Todd standing out as one of her favorite memories. She loved driving her cherished Monte Carlo, sipping a Bacardi Limon and Coke, and dancing with Todd. Lisa was a passionate Packers and Brewers fan, took great pride in watching Alyssa play softball, and was an animal lover who adored her cats, Bootsie and Molly. She also loved having a beautiful garden, especially roses, her favorite flower.
Lisa is survived by her husband of 19 years, Todd K. Henke; daughter Alyssa Henke; stepchildren Jeni (Jesse) Jensema and Alexander Bartoli; her mother Carol Newberry; and siblings Brenda Kirchner, Pam Weisser, Harlan D. (Carrie) Weisser, and Bruce Weisser. She also leaves behind cherished nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Harlan E. Weisser; her stepfather, Dwayne Newberry; and her in-laws, Charles and Merle (née Meyer) Henke.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM, with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 PM at Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend. A reception will follow, and a private burial will take place at a later date.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the many friends and family members who assisted with Lisa's care over the years. She will be deeply missed, but there is comfort in knowing she is now at peace.
