Liam Michael Adkins passed away peacefully on July 3, 2024, surrounded by family at the age of 9, in Slinger, Wisconsin. Liam's journey in life was challenged with Lennox gastaut syndrome & cerebral palsy but he was always a strong little fighter.
Liam had a smile that lit up a room, and a gut laugh that was contagious. He loved dance, bike rides, swimming, dinosaurs, and music.
He loved going to school, being with friends, and socializing with people. He loved running in his gait trainer and doing donuts in his power wheelchair. Even with his medical challenges, he lived a life of adventure. Liam was a pathway for normalizing having a friend with a disability, and teaching others what unconditional love means.
He was his big sister Madilynn's best friend & dance partner, and little brother Oliver's baseball catcher & dinosaur playing pal.
Liam is survived by his loving family, parents David & Brittany Adkins, big sister Madilynn, and little brother Oliver; great grandparents Wilma Noble, Christine Bielarski, Joe Godwin; grandparents Daniel (Deb) Noble, Ivan Adkins, Michelle Wright. He is further survived by aunts, uncles & cousins Daniel (Cathy)Adkins, and their children Ethan & Ryan Adkins; Lori (Arturo) Adkins-Napoles and their children Sam, Lily, Henry; Marty Dobbins and his children Keyton, Ashton, Kaiden, Karson; Nadine (Travis) Nesvold and their children, Trystan, Vadin, Kinley, Makenna, Hadley; Travis Noble, and his children, Izaiah, Justin, Harmonie, Alani. Also loved by many other family, friends & classmates.
Liam is preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Ralph Noble, Dinah Godwin, & Roy Adkins, and grandmother Nancy Adkins.
Liam spent an extensive amount of time in the hospital. He had a loving & supportive medical and school team that became his extended family. We wish to thank them for all of their care, compassion, love and dedication.
Although Liam's journey on earth has come to an end, he will forever be in our hearts. Forever Liam's Journey, Liam Strong, Team Liam!
