Leola Linda (Nee: Ehlke) Herther, 92, peacefully passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Lawlis Hospice in Mequon, WI. She was born in Cedarburg, WI on October 1,1933 to the late Berthold and Linda (Nee: Tischer) Ehlke. Leola was a graduate of Cedarburg High school. On May 29,1954, Leola united in marriage to Reuben Herther, who preceded her in death on January 29,2016. Leola was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Lasata Nursing Home in Cedarburg until she retired. In her free time, she loved sewing, cross stitching, baking and reading.
Leola is survived by her five children Dan (Gay) Herther, Connie (John) Vollmar, Tom Herther, Karen (Al) Guhl, and Debra (Todd) Weyker. Ten Grandchildren, Brittany (Matt), Allyson (Tom), Emily (Mark), Amanda (Jake), Jason (Jennifer), Megan (Tim), Nicole, Josh (Leah), Ryan (Jordan), Lauren and Anna, and eight Great Grandchildren. She will also be missed by her brother-in- law Frank Bauman as well as nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Leola is preceded in death by her sister, Margaret(Nee: Ehlke) Bauman and one daughter in law, Sue Herther.
Funeral services will be held on December 8, 2025 at David Star Lutheran Church in Jackson, WI at 3:00 P.M. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M.-2:45 P.M. Burial will follow the service at 4:00 P.M.
