Lee L. Peeso
Passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the age of 72. He was born August 19, 1951, in Stanley WI, he grew up in the Cadott area and attended Cadott schools. Lee Worked for several major manufacturing companies as a machine builder and repair man for 50 years retiring in 2018. He married Linda Behling on Mary 25, 1975, at St. John's UCC in Slinger, WI; where they also lived and raised a family for almost 39 years until her death on February 20, 2014.
In his spare time, he liked doing woodworking, and was an avid hunter, but most of all he loved being a volunteer at the Shalom Wildlife Zoo in West Bend, WI. Lee loved being around all the animals there and enjoyed telling stories about the animals to all the zoo visitors. What made his day was seeing the smiles on the little ones faces after they hand fed a deer or a horse; "that's what it is all about, trying to make everyone's day just a little better at what I call, a little piece of God's Country".
Lee is survived by his children Roxane (Mitch) Worth, Denise (Tim) Zenisek, Todd (Tammy) Behling, and Jason (Becca Frank) Peeso; grandchildren Michelle (Brett) Wichman, Jeffrey Pruess, Brittany (Kassie) Johnson, Allie (Austin) Krumhus, Mike (Erin) Behling, and Taytumn Wolf; great-grandchildren Andre Pruess, Brixton & Keaton Johnson, and Brantley Krumhus. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lee was preceded in death by his parents Lyman L. and Myrtle M. Peeso; wife Linda Peeso; grandchildren Christina & David Behling; siblings Gene Peeso, and Laurel Woyak.
A Memorial Walk for Lee will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Shalom Wildlife Zoo would be appreciated.
