Leander "Lee" H. Krebs, 78, of Hartford, passed away surrounded by his family June 13, 2014 at St. Luke's Medical Center. He was born on the family farm February 5, 1936 to the late Otto and Kathrine (nee Redig) Krebs and was raised in Hartford. He married Jewel (nee Pouchert) at St. Clare's North Lake on June 22, 1957. He retired from Brenner Tank, Fond du Lac.

Lee was a former volunteer member of the St. Lawrence Fire Department and current member of Sheet Metal Workers Union and the Hartford Senior Center. His favorite hobby was farming, and he loved roller skating and polka music. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 57 years, Jewel; children: Mark (Linda), Ron (Cindy), Russ (Sheilah), Andy (Susan), Phil, Keith, and Lisa (Chris) Stuht; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings: Roland (Barbara), Ralph (Joyce), Esther Wehner; brother-in-law, Richard (Yvonne) Pouchert; and godson, Paul Beder. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his son, Douglas (Linda); grandchildren, Andrew Jr. and Ronald Jr.; siblings: Dorothy Unertl, Anita Beder, Marie Becker and Raymond Krebs; brothers-in-law: Chuck and Walter Pouchert.

The Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at St. Peter's Catholic Church (200 E Washington St., Slinger) and again at the church Thursday, June 19th from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 19th at 11:00 AM with Fr. Richard Stoffel presiding. Interment will follow at (new) St. Peter's Cemetery.
