Laverne E. Rheingans (nee Lucas), of Manitowish Waters, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the age of 91 years in Slinger, WI. She was born on August 2, 1922 to Steve and Hannah (nee Peterhansel) Lucas in Glidden. She married Clarence Rheingans in 1946. She dedicated many years of service to Western Electric before her retirement in the late 1970's.

Laverne was an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan. She was also a longtime member of the Manitowish Waters Lioness Group.

Laverne is survived by her niece Gina (Mike) Schellinger of Slinger, nephew Doug Hauschild of Tuscon, AZ, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Clarence and her two sisters Judy (Howard) Hauschild and Del Horvath.
