Kurtis "Kurt" Jan Knaack, age 60, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at his home in Hartford, WI. He was born on June 1, 1956 in Portage, WI to parents Karl Knaack and Margaret (Richard) Ceman of Wautoma. Kurtis was a Supervisor at Steel Craft for 28 years. He had a passion for fishing, fixing cars, remodeling his farm house, and playing with his grandchildren.
Kurtis is survived by his mother Margaret (Richard) Ceman; children Angie (Mike) Becker of Menomonee Falls, Shane (Lindsay) Becker of Slinger, Shannon (Steven) Panek of Hartford; grandchildren Emmitt, Gabriel, Sophia, Vincent, Cody, and new baby expected to arrive soon; siblings Linda Zimmerman of Wautoma, Kathy (Vernie) Krause of Berlin, Ken (Tracy) Knaack of Ripon, Karen (Beeper) Hesprich of Iron Ridge, brother-in-law Jerome "Bugs" DeBruin of Ohio, sister-in-law Mary Knaack of Arizona, brother-in-law Tom Trochinski of Berlin. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Kurt is preceded in death by his father, Karl Knaack, stepfather, Richard Ceman, sister Nancy DeBruin of Ohio, brother Karl Knaack of Arizona, sister Gail Trochinski of Berlin WI.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 12 pm—4pm at the Addison Town Hall. 127 First Street PO Box 481, Allenton, WI 53002-0481.
