Kelly A. Sackett (nee Wickman), 47, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014. She was born on March 17, 1967 to Norbert and Rose (nee Gengler) in West Bend.
She is survived by her children: Taylor, Colin and Payton; sisters: Jacalyn (Jeffrey) Flack of Crystal Lake, IL, Beverly (George) Reuter of Houston, TX, and Connie (William) Cox of Germantown. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Kelly is preceded in death by her father, Norbert and mother, Rosemary.
She graduated from West Bend East High School Class of '85 but not before leaving her mark in so many ways and especially in sports. Kelly qualified for the state tournament in tennis three out of four years and was the first girl from West Bend to qualify in singles. She was also part of the gymnastics team that qualified for the state competition. Kelly coached varsity tennis at Germantown High School last year and had hoped to continue again this year, but that was not to be.
Following High School Kelly earned her Dental Hygienist degree and work for Forward Dental for many years.
Kelly always managed to place the care and wellbeing of her children above all else regardless of the challenges she faced. Her fur children, Ruby and Chief, were really special to her too.
She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was known by all who knew her for her awesome laugh and big smile. Through all the challenges she faced in her all too short life, Kelly courageously found a way to channel positive energy into any situation. Kelly was the life of every party and her infectious laugh had all those around smiling and laughing hysterically too.
She was a treasured mother, daughter, sister and friend. For those of us here, she would want you to remember the stories, laugh at the fun times, and laugh about her.
