Obituary

Kay Bliese, age 70, of West Bend, was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ while at home on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, surrounded by her loving family and friends after a long battle with cancer. Kay was born on November 9, 1944, in Iola, WI to Ralph and Marie Wikel. She was raised in Waupaca and graduated in 1962 from Waupaca High School. Kay attended a Milwaukee school for computer data entry and worked for Well's Manufacturing in Fond du Lac as a data processor where she met her husband John Bliese. John and Kay celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2014 with JOY, LOVE and wedding vow renewal.

Kay shared her love and joy in her Christian walk participating and volunteering in Ladies Auxiliary in Appleton, The Family Center of Washington County, Stephen Ministry, Ladies Aid, Christian Women's, school secretary, and Partners of St. Joseph's. Kay happily took on responsibilities as a homemaker and devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend. She devoted many hours with her children to many organizations within school and out in the community. Many friendships were formed through Christian Women groups and faithful Bible Study Groups with her loving husband, John. Kay and John enjoyed travelling to visit friends and family. She took great joy cheering on her grandchildren in sports, music and extracurricular activities.

Kay is survived by her husband, John, of 50 years; children Timothy (Diane) Bliese, Sarah (Don) Beecken and Mischel (John) Marshall; grandchildren Jessica, Jennifer, Melissa, Andrew, Braxton, Nate, Tommy and Jacob; brothers Gary (Jan) Wikel and Denis (Kay) Wikel. Further survived by many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at 11AM at St. John's Lutheran Church (809 S. 6th Ave.), West Bend, with Rev. David Kellerman presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 10AM until the time of the Service.
