Kathleen D. Wagner "Kathy" (nee Strupp), age 60, of West Bend, surrounded by her loving family, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, after a two-year battle with brain cancer. She was born on December 12, 1954. Kathy was a life-long resident of Washington County and a 1973 graduate of Slinger High School. She married Lee J. Wagner of West Bend on October 7, 1978, at St. Peter's Church in Slinger. Kathy was a dedicated employee of Broan Manufacturing in Hartford for 39 years. She enjoyed watching sports, playing cards, and socializing with friends and family.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Lee, of 36 years; their daughter, Jennifer (Peter) Marx of Kewaskum; two grandsons, Nolan and Parker Marx; and her parents, Maurice and Marilyn (Hahn) Strupp of Slinger. She is further survived by two sisters: Barbara (Alan) Bonlender of Slinger and Sue (Randy) Weske of Hartford; four brothers: Kenneth "Butch" (Jean) Strupp, Michael (Marian) Strupp, Lawrence (Terry) Strupp, and David (June) Strupp all of Slinger; as well as hundreds of relatives, in-laws, and friends whose kindness and prayers over the past two years were greatly appreciated.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church (4886 Hwy 175), Hartford on Monday, February 9, 2015, at 6:30PM with Fr. Davies Edassery presiding. Visitation will be held at the Church on Monday from 3:00PM until the time of the Mass. A private burial will take place at St. Mathias Cemetery in Nabob. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to The Kathy Hospice (3232 Pleasant Valley Rd., West Bend, WI 53095), where Kathy spent her final days.
