Obituary
Kathleen Ann Scheffler (nee Hannon) passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, at the age of 93. She was born April 13, 1931, in Dayton Ohio, the daughter of the late Bernard and Mary (nee Remaklus) Hannon. Kathleen attended Shelbyville High School where she met and married her high school sweetheart David Ray Scheffler on May 8, 1954, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Shelbyville. She worked for many years in the West Bend School District as an office aide, retiring in 1996. Kathleen was a member of St. Francis Cabrini, West Bend, and an avid mystery novel reader. She and David would travel six months to Gold Cannon, AZ in the winter, and six months in West Bend in the summer. Kathleen was a good cook and took pride in her recipes.
Kathleen is survived by her sons Mark (Nancy) Scheffler and Brian (Jodi) Scheffler; grandchildren David (Kim) Scheffler and Danielle Scheffler; and one great-granddaughter Lily. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband David, and brother Joe Hannon. The family wishes to thank the St. Camillus hospice and skilled care staff for their wonderful care.
A private committal will be held at Washington County Memorial Park.
