Obituary
Kathleen Florence Kreis, nee Limbach, of Slinger, WI passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 13
th
, 2025 at the age of 80. Kathleen was born on February 23
rd
, 1945 in Hartford, WI to Walter and Pearl (nee Zwirlein) Limbach. She enjoyed playing bingo, thrift shopping with her son Gene, and coffee clutching with her friends on Saturday mornings. She will be remembered for her love of red birds, which she could never pass up at the thrift shop. Her love of sweets- particularly ice cream and honey buns- gave Gene many trips to the store. She was so caring, and those close to her can still hear her voice asking "How you doing today?".
Kathleen is survived by her sons Rich, Gene (Brenda), and Russ (Keri); grandchildren Ashley, Kelton, and Aidan; her brother Ron Limbach (Marge); nephew Ron Limbach Jr (Michelle); and niece Brenda Ziemer (Jason). Further survived by many dear friends at Scenic View Apartments.
A funeral service for Kathleen will be held at Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W Paradise Dr., West Bend WI, 53095) on September 17th, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Fr. Richard Stoffel officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Interment will follow the service at St. Hubert's Cemetery (3737 Hubertus Rd., Hubertus WI, 53033).
Special thanks to the staff at Cedar Community for their care for Kathleen in her final days. Further thanks to Teri at Commonheart Hospice for her compassion for both Kathleen and her family.
In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions in Kathleen's name to the Washington County Humane Society.
