Obituary
Kathleen Ellen Coulthurst, 85, of Jackson, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2024.
Kathleen was born in Stevens Point, WI, on October 8, 1938, to the late Francis and Grace (nee Olson) Clay. She graduated from Stevens Point Area High School and was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Neil, on August 2, 1958. They recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. Together, they raised their family in South Milwaukee, WI.
Kathleen was a devoted wife, mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family even more than the time she spent on her favorite hobbies of quilting, knitting, reading and baking. She enjoyed many summers at their cottage in Minocqua where she shared many special times hosting family while treating them to all her special 'up north' recipes.
A highlight of Kathleen's career was the many years that she enjoyed serving as the Treasurer of the City of South Milwaukee.
Kathleen leaves behind a loving family to remember her, including her husband, Neil; three children, Michael(Kristin), Lori(Tye) Schneider, and Susan(Patrick) Kitzke; her seven grandchildren Annette(Mark), Natalie, Spencer(Kelsey), Emily, Julia(Matt), Daniel and Joseph; seven great-children, Olivia, Caiden, Ayla, Elsie, Leo, Luke, and one on the way ; two sisters Susan(the late Douglas) Cox and Virginia(the late James) Best, two brothers-in-law Michael and Dennis; and other relatives and friends.
Kathleen is predeceased by her parents, parents-in-law, four brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law.
Visitation and a Memorial Service with Deacon Michael Koebel presiding, will be held on Wednesday, October 2,2024, at Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Dr, West Bend, WI Visitation will be at 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM The Service will be at 12:00 PM Interment will be at the new St. Mary's Cemetery in West Bend at a later time.
Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association are appreciated.
