Karen (nee Lindemuth) Seefeldt Bass passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026, at Hawthorn Manor in West Bend, Wisconsin. She was 82 years old.

Karen was born on December 12, 1943, to the late Lester and Majorie (Walker) Lindemuth in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. She attended Lakeland College, where she met her first husband, Aldwin (Al) Seefeldt. Karen graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and she and Al moved to West Bend, WI where together they raised their three children: Kristin Seefeldt (Greg Levine), Vicki Seefeldt West (Dan) and Alan Seefeldt (Amy). On July 8, 1993, Karen and her children lost Aldwin unexpectedly.

Karen will be remembered for her huge heart and her unwavering love for Jesus. Her passion for spreading His love led her to found Cedar Springs Church. It was through this ministry that she met John Bass. Karen and John were married on January 1, 1998, and together they continued the mission of Cedar Springs Church. Karen touched countless lives and helped many discover the love of Jesus. She held a special passion for women’s ministry, including supporting her dear friend Tete’s ministry to young women in Thailand. Before her passing, Karen joyfully completed her book detailing her journey.

An adventurous and passionate woman, Karen loved to read, garden, travel, cook, and experience new things. She also leaves behind dear friends around the globe whom she truly counted as family.

Karen is survived by her husband of 28 years, John Bass; her three children; her stepchildren, Jennifer Bass (Scott), Jules Duncan, and John (Shannah) Bass; and her siblings, Tom (Jan) and Paul Lindemuth (Michael Gilbert). She was the proud grandmother of Nora West, Adele and Alice Seefeldt, Chandler and Andrew Duncan, John Caden and Giada Bass, and great-grandmother of Maddox and Payton Duncan.

In addition to her parents and her husband Al, she was preceded in death by her brother Dave (Dianne) Lindemuth and her sister Mary, who died in early childhood.

Visitation for Karen will be at Cedar Springs Church, Slinger, Wisconsin on Sunday August 2nd from 8:30 AM-9:15 AM. Celebration of Life will immediately follow visitation at 9:30 AM at Cedar Springs Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Stand By Me Ministry.
