GORKE, Karen L. (nee LINDBLOM), age 70, was welcomed into Heaven on Dec. 14th, with her beloved children and cherished daughter-in-law by her side. Karen showed remarkable bravery and humor during her four year struggle with cancer. Karen's joy in life was her beloved children and family. She had a passion for reading and volunteered her time at the Brown Deer Library. Karen was a kind woman who loved to laugh; she was a true friend to many and will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Karen was born and raised in Milw., graduating from Custer High School. Survived by her children David (Crystal) Gorke, Tara Gorke, dear sisters Joy Friede, Dr. Laurie (Brad) Lindblom Crouse, brother Forrest (Elém) Lindblom, nieces, nephews, other relatives, grandpets, and many friends. Preceded in death by her parents. Memorial Service, Saturday, Dec. 28th at 12PM at Loving Shepherd Lutheran Church (3909 W. Clinton Ave., Milw.). Visitation at church on Sat., Dec. 28th from 10AM to 12PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Loving Shepherd Lutheran Church are appreciated.
