Obituary
Julius J. Pieronek passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at the age of 92 years.
Julius was born on July 8, 1921 in Detroit, MI to Joseph and Katherine (nee Maka) Pieronek. He married Wanda Powalski on June 21, 1947 in Detroit. Julius was a member of the Ghost Army during WWII. Julius loved woodworking, fishing, and he was an avid golfer.
Julius is survived by his wife Wanda; children Donald (Jill) and Ronald (Leah); and grandchildren Tara Pieronek, Jonathan (Shannon), and Kimberly (Jeffrey) Johnson; and great-granddaughter Olivia. He is further survived by his sister Hedi Maczko. He is preceded in death by his son Robert and many other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Serenity Hospice Care (W175 N11117 Stonewood Dr., Suite 100, Germantown, WI 53022) or the Lighthouse of West Bend (2130 Continental Dr., West Bend, WI 53095).
Private services were held.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the entire staff of the Lighthouse of West Bend and nurses and staff of Serenity Hospice Care.
