Judith Marie Horner (Nee: Linder) affectionately known to those who loved her as Judi, passed away on Sunday, August 9,2026 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton, WI at age 80. Judi was born on October 22,1945 in Hartford, WI to the late Lawrence and Bernadette (Nee: Bethke) Linder. She was raised in Slinger and graduated High School in 1964. On June 26,1965 at St. Peter Church in Slinger, WI, Judi united in marriage to James Horner, they shared 56 years of martial bliss before the lord called him home on December 29, 2021.
During her working career she was employed at Pick Heaters as an Order Clerk. When her children were growing up, she enjoyed the many camping vacations they shared. She loved to visit parks and partake in picnics as well as thrifting. She loved traveling and exploring the country with cherished memories of visiting Hawaii, Alaska and many other states as well as multiple trips to Costa Rica, Mexico and Ireland.
Judi was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was always willing to help others and was known for her caring heart, generous spirit, and thoughtful advice. As a mother, Judi gave her family a lifetime of love, guidance, and memories that will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed, but her love will remain in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
She is survived by her children; Christine (Bradley), Beckman, Kathy (Scott) Guerndt and Paul (Evelyn) Horner, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings; Mary Schmeling, Larry (Rose) Linder and Pat (Stan) Washburn, as well as nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her Husband James, her parents and parents-in-law and brothers Paul and Jim.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Judi on Thursday, August 20,2026 at 11:00 A.M. At St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception in West Bend. Visitation will be from 10:00-10:45 A.M. Judi will be laid to rest on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Angels Cemetery next to her beloved James.
