Obituary

Judith "Judy" A. Breit (nee Cudnohoske), age 68, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at The Kathy Hospice in West Bend. She was born on July 3, 1946 in Milwaukee to Edward and Mildred (nee Dobraska) Cudnohoske. She was raised in Milwaukee and then Beechwood. In 1964 Judy graduated from Random Lake High School, where she was a cheerleader and was a recipient of the Daughters of the American Revolution Award. She married Russell J. Breit on May 15, 1965 at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Their 49 year marriage has been their rock throughout the years.

Judy was an awesome mother and grandmother. Singing was a huge part of her life. Nearly every Sunday the family would gather around the organ and sing their favorite gospel songs, in perfect harmony. She and Russ sang in a polka choir for many years and she traveled with Russ who sings in the Friesland Men's Choir. Their faith in the Lord has been the foundation of their marriage. Together they loved to travel internationally and throughout the US. Judy and Russ enjoyed relaxing and boating with their many friends at their River Place near Princeton. They feel they have been very blessed and enjoy helping others.

Judy is survived by her husband Russell; children Kim Breit and Brian Breit (Jodi); grandchildren Sawyer Buck, Delaney Breit, Charlie, Max and Frankie Breit; siblings Olive Laux, Marion Snyder and Calvin (Mary) Cudnohoske; sister-in-laws Jeanette Cudnohoske and Jan (Ron) Guse. Judy is further survived by special friends Barb and Dick Boppre, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ken and Wally, brother-in-laws Bill Snyder and Harold Laux.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend) on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 4:00pm. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00pm until the time of the service at 4:00pm. A private Entombment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Kathy Hospice or Parkinson's Research (Mount Sinai of Milwaukee).

A special thank you to Judy's personal caretakers: Joan Hall, Lisa Bunkelman, Lynn Sobon, Dawn Udell, Jody Rieck, Lori Pecsi and to all the staff of Mount Sinai, Kathy Hospice, Serenity Hospice and Compassionate Care Hospice.
