Joyce Carol Heisdorf, age 81, of West Bend, WI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Cedar Communities. Joyce was born on December 25, 1944, to Edwin and Marie (nee Landrath) Sluter in Wauwatosa, WI.

Joyce was a devoted wife of 38 years to John Heisdorf, Sr., loving mother to Scott Knop (Joann) and Gary Knop (Leah) and step-mother to Sherri Voegli (Dan), Steve Heisdorf (Jenny), John “Wally” Heisdorf Jr. (Cindy) and Jeff Heisdorf (Lori). She was a proud grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren that she adored dearly. She is survived by her husband, John, her sister, Shirley (nee Sluter) High, all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great number of loved family members and friends, each in their own way who brought her immense joy. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Lois (nee Sluter) Ramsey.

Joyce was a nurse for 25 years, a calling that fit her loving and caring personality. She enjoyed her time with friends, playing golf, camping, hiking Devil’s Lake, playing backyard games and getting together for holidays with family and friends. She was always the “planner” who made sure that everyone enjoyed themselves and was included. Joyce and John loved their “snowbird” times in Fort Myers, FL during their early retirement years and got lots of sun and made plenty of friends. She was an avid hometown sports fan, watching the Brewers, Packers and Badgers with her husband and family quite regularly.

A Mass in Celebration of Christian Life will be held for Joyce on Tuesday, February 24,2026 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Bend. Visitation will be from 11:30 A.M. to 1:15 P.M. with a church service following at 1:30 P.M.
