Joyce E. Hein, 86, was called to Heaven by her Risen Savior Jesus on Tuesday, September 10, 2013.

Joyce was born on Nov 14, 1926, in Milwaukee to William & Bernice (nee Oleson) Walters. She married Randolph Hein on Feb. 23, 1946, in Milwaukee. Joyce was a caring and hard-working mother whose dedication to her family and to Christian education strongly influenced her entire family. Joyce worked for nearly thirty years as head of the admitting department at St. Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee. She and Randy moved to Hartland in 1972 and then to Slinger in 1992.

Joyce is survived by her children Michael (Cynthia), Gerald (Kathie Allegrezza), and David (Rebecca); grandchildren Jonathan (Rebecca) Hein, Jessica (Jason) Zahn, Jennifer (Jonathan) Agenten, James (Adrian) Hein, Jacob Hein, Jamie Hein, Paul (Katie) Hein, Sara (Benjamin) Wink, and Gregory (Julie) Hein; and 14 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her beloved sister Patricia (Kenneth) Kisting-Woller and her wonderful nephews, nieces, relatives, and dear friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by Randy, her husband of 66 years, by her parents William & Bernice Walters, by her stepfathers Richard Carew and Sigfried Hjerstedt, by her little brother Jerry Walters, by her brother-in-law James Kisting, by her brother-in-law Sherb Bergmann Hein, and by her sister-in-law Mildred (Daniel) Merkel.

A funeral service for Joyce will be at 5 pm on Sunday, Sept 15, 2013, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 799 St. Paul Drive in Slinger, with Pastor James Castillo presiding. Visitation will be from 3-4:45 pm on Sunday at the church ONLY. Private interment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Paul Church (NO lilies, please).
