Harvey, Joyce A WB9IMA

(Nee Hickok) of Mequon, passed away into the hands of Our Lord on September 14, 2014. Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Nels; her children Donn (Debra), David (Susan), Carol Harvey Darling (Richard), Joseph (Debra) and Kevin Graham; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and sisters Joan Herbst and Jane (Robert Bongard). A special friend was her niece, Sharon Barth. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Born in Eau Claire, WI on July 14, 1934, Joyce met her future husband, Nels, in 1955, in Milwaukee where they married Feb. 3, 1956. Joyce provided an exceptional loving and happy home for her family, including foster children. Moving to Mequon in 1976, Joyce was an Amateur Radio operator, took adult classes on computers, bookkeeping, and photo oil coloring, among others. She was active in St. Christopher's Church, and held a 'Discuss and Discover" weekly meeting at the Grafton Senior Center.

The family would like to thank the Horizon Home Care and Hospice people for their respectful and loving care in the last year, especially in her last days.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 4, 2014, at 1PM at St. Christopher Episcopal Church (7845 N River Rd), River Hills. Interment in the St. Christopher's Memorial Garden after the service. In lieu of flowers, Memorials to the church or the American Heart Association are welcome.
